Parts Tracking Systems

Fortville Feeders parts tracking systems are designed to transport and present parts for precision placement.

Air Track Parts Tracking Systems

Air tracks are the gold standard in parts tracking systems. As the name implies, they use pressurized air (shop compressed air or electric blower) to move parts at high speeds (up to 1200ppm). The parts float on an air stream that is emitted through small, angled holes in the track that both lift and accelerate the parts. Air tracks are gentler on parts, since there is virtually no friction when the parts are gliding on air. They also hold parts in a tighter confinement. Air tracks also reduce noise in tracking. They work best on lightweight parts and pieces that have a good surface area so they can be lifted and moved down the track. Air tracks perform very well when you need an extended tracking system to move parts over a long distance quickly.

Electric blower driven tracks generate air from blowers mated to the track. This works best for applications where shop air is not an option. Compressed air driven tracks are used when you have sufficient compressed air available to feed your machinery. Compressed air is used to move parts at a high speed over extended lengths. Compressed air tracks require very low psi air pressure and are very efficient to operate.

Track Length: Unlimited

Features: Compressed air or turbo blower for ultra high speed/high feed rate

Horizontal In-Line Tracks

Horizontal in-line tracks use vibration to move parts. Parts are oriented and confined one after the next as they move down the track. Horizontal tracks are ideal for sturdy, heavy, or odd-shaped parts. They are electrical or air driven.

Track Length: 6″ to as long as needed

Voltage Features: 110V or 220V, 50/60 Hz to your specifications

Conveyor Track Parts Tracking Systems

Conveyor tracks are used to move long parts gently with or without confinement. They can accommodate a long overhang to deliver parts into the next cell and can be geared to your specified linear inch per minute configuration. Conveyor tracks are much quieter than vibratory tracks.

Track Length: Unlimited

Voltage Features: 110V or 220V, AC/DC,  50/60 Hz

Gravity Tracks

Gravity tracks are used to deliver parts down an angled track. Tracks can be angled up to 45 degrees or more. Gravity tracks use the weight of the parts to move them. Gravity tracks are a great solution for heavy duty parts that can withstand sliding friction while moving down line and the end destination is close to the feeder bowl.

Track Length: Up to 6 feet

Voltage Features: Straight, L-shape, over 90 discharge
