Safety Door Switches

Omron’s safety door switches or interlock switches detect the opening of guards or doors to prevent unauthorized access to hazardous areas and ensure the safe implementation of emergency equipment stoppages. Door Safety door switches without guard locking monitor the state of guards or covers. Switches with guard locking serve as interlocking devices. Non-contact door switches are ideal for dusty and washdown environments.

D4NS/D4NS-SK Safety Door Switches

This is a next-generation, environmentally friendly, multi-contact safety switch. The lineup of versatile tongue-operated safety door switches includes three-contact models with 2NC/1NO and 3NC contact forms and MBB models in addition to the previous contact forms 1NC/1NO, and 2NC. M12-connector models are available, saving on labor and simplifying replacement. Standardized gold-clad contacts provide high contact reliability, applicable to both loads and microloads.

D4GS-N Slim Safety Interlock Switch

The D4GS-N features slim design with a width of only 17 mm (three-contact models), an operation key with rubber mounting hole to absorb vibration and shock, and an IP67 rated degree of protection. Reversible design allows either front or rear mounting. Built-in switches with two- or three-terminal contact construction are available.

D4NH Safety Door Hinge Switches

This compact, plastic-body safety door hinge switch is designed for saving space in machines and other equipment. These switches are hard to defeat and simple to mount where they are not easily damaged. They feature a direct opening mechanism and a shaft or arm lever actuator.

D4BS Heavy Duty Switches

This heavy duty, metal body tongue operated door switch conforms to UL, CSA and EN (TÜV) standards. The special operation key activates a direct opening mechanism to open the contacts and shut off control circuits when protective doors are opened on machine tools or other equipment, while preventing malfunctions and false operations.

D4SL-N Guard Lock Safety Door Switches

The world’s smallest six-contact guard lock safety door switch reduces wiring time with two wiring methods capable of one-touch attachment and removal. It is possible to change the key insertion point without detaching the head. The lockout key prevents workers from becoming trapped inside the hazardous area.

D4NL Guard Lock Safety Door Switches

The bestselling D4NL guard-lock safety door switches are available in several compact models with four or five built-in contacts and an electromagnetic lock or unlock mechanism. When locked, they have a key holding force of up to 1300 N. Mechanical lock/solenoid release types and vice versa set up the complete range in combination with various conduit types.

D4JL Safety Interlock Switches

This super-strong guard lock safety-door switch with a holding force of 3000 N is ideal for large, heavy doors. Two safety circuits and two monitor contacts provide an array of monitoring patterns. Models with trapped keys or rear release buttons allow people to unlock the switch and escape if they are locked in hazardous areas.

D4BL Guard Lock Switches

These switches have a holding force of 700 N and a die-cast aluminum body incorporating a switch box with degree of protection satisfying IP67, UL and CSA TYPE6P, 13. An auxiliary release key ensures easy maintenance and unlocks the door in the case of a power failure. Models incorporating easy-to-see indicators for monitoring and models using an adjustable operation key for a swinging door are available.

D40 Non-Contact Switches

Up to 30 D40Z and D40A non-contact switches can be connected to a single G9SX-NS controller while still maintaining category 4/PLe compliance. Both non-contact door switches and conventional key-type safety-door switches can be input to one controller, saving space. These switches are ideal for middle to large scale device applications.
