Vision Lighting

Image processing always depends on the right lights. Balluff offers a wide array of robust auxiliary vision lighting for different installation spaces and tasks. The energy-saving and long-lasting LED technology is impressive, with homogeneous optical properties. Moreover, Balluff lighting options guarantee eye safety in accordance with IEC 62471. Available options include red light, white light, infrared light and laser variants.

Tube LED Machine Lights

Using high efficiency LEDs along with a diffuser, Balluff’s new tube LED machine lights deliver strong vision lighting intensity with glare-free diffusion while taking up a minimal amount of machine space. They match the brightness of modern LEDs with a 5000 K color temperature while eliminating glare. Protected by a clear, durable borosilicate glass cover, these rugged and long-lived lights are robust enough for nearly all standard applications in the automobile industry and production engineering. They are IP67-rated for resistance to most coolants and lubricants, as well as shock/vibration-proof. Installation is simple using standard M12 connections.

These LED machine lights are maintenance-free, and since no grounding is needed, their low 24 V DC protective voltage offers a high degree of safety. They provide optimal energy efficiency for overall cost savings. They can be integrated into systems quickly and simply. These versatile lights are well-suited for a myriad of applications including lighting for work benches, test stands, machine rooms, machining centers, machine tools, lathes, milling and grinding machines, automated assembly cells, semi-automated workstations, moisture proof applications, any enclosed machine and lighting for restricted access barriers in clean rooms.

Background Vision Lighting

Balluff’s background lights enable easy checking of dimensions and shapes and for any material or surface. Users can choose between different sizes and different light field diameters (25 mm × 25 mm to 300 mm × 200 mm) and variants with red and infrared light. Balluff background lights can also be used for diffuse incident lights. Features of these versatile, bright lights include flat design, simple installation, quality materials, and IP54 or IP69K housing.

Strip Lights

When used as lateral illumination, Balluff strip lights create shadows to check features, providing consistent lighting without glare points. These strip lights are available in different sizes with light field diameters from 10 mm × 95 mm to 10 mm × 195 mm. Versions with red, white and infrared light are available. When used as direct lighting, they enable an illumination of the image field. The almost rimless design makes stacking and arrangement in rows possible. A mounting bracket makes it possible to configure as square or rectangle frames.

Dark Field Vision Lighting

Balluff dark field lights are used to check for scratches, pits, and impurities on surfaces. Their red light reliably and homogeneously illuminates a light field with a diameter of 90 mm, regardless of the material and surface. These lights are reliable and powerful, with first-class materials, easy installation, flexible positioning and high-quality IP54 housing.

Ring Lights

The light field size of Balluff’s ring lights has a diameter of 100/60 mm. As additional incident light with luminous LEDs, these lights enable homogeneous illumination in versions with red, white, and infrared lights. With easy attachment and installation and high-quality IP 65 housing, they make large inspection distances realizable. A diffuser attachment for applications with mirrored surfaces prevents disruptive reflections.

Coaxial Lights

Balluff’s coaxial lights with red light are optimally suited for the homogeneous illumination of highly reflective or mirrored surfaces. Choose between two different sizes with light fields from 50 mm × 50 mm to 100 mm × 100 mm. Low-maintenance and industry-oriented, these lights are designed for the inspection of surfaces that are printed, soiled, or needle-punched.

Spotlight Vision Lighting

To fill in areas with pinpoint accuracy, Balluff spotlights offer solutions of varying size (M12, M18, M30), as well as versions with red or infrared light. In each case, they deliver easy installation, flexible positioning and less frequent inspections.
