The advanced technology built into Sigma-7 sets a new industry standard for responsiveness, precision and long-term reliability. Each Sigma-7 motor is engineered to maximize compatibility with existing Sigma-5 motors in control electronics, electrical rating and mounting conventions. Sigma-7 motors can be equipped with matching gearheads to suit a wider range of speed or mechanical linkage requirements.

SGM7J Rotary Servo Motors

Optimize load matching for lower capacity loads with this medium inertia servo motor that delivers on the Yaskawa reputation for exceptional reliability. The SGM7J was designed to maximize responsiveness in applications where precise load matching is of critical importance. This family of medium inertia rotary servo motors was created with low capacity applications in mind, yet can respond with rated speeds to 3000 rpm and torque ratings up to 2.39 N-m (21 in-lb) when an application requires it. 24-bit encoder resolution maintains industry-leading positional accuracy in any operating condition.

SGM7A Servo Motors

The general-purpose workhorse of the Sigma-7 line, SGM7A is available in a wide range of sizes and covers the capacity spectrum from low to medium power. Each of these brushless motors is capable of producing a high rate of power at extremely low levels of inertia. SGM7A servos are also designed to deliver high torque performance when an application requires it. The 24-bit encoder resolution maintains industry-leading positional accuracy across the power spectrum.

SGM7P Rotary Motors

A shorter profile makes the SGM7P series one of Yaskawa’s most compact servo motor offerings, well suited for applications where space is limited. The coils and rotor elements are designed to reduce motor length by 25% while providing the torque and speed commonly available only from a larger motor. The SGM7P series performs in the medium inertia range, and is effective in applications requiring optimized load matching. The motors have a rated speed of 3000 rpm with rated torque up to 4.77 N∙m.

SGM7G Motors

The SGM7G delivers a rated speed of 1500 rpm, and rapid and consistent throughput over a wide power range. The increased power demands of large automation components utilize the robust performance of SGM7G motors. These servo motors are built with a compact footprint, yet provide a higher torque while maintaining an inertia rating well within the medium range. Rated torques in the SGM7G family range up to 95.2 N-m (840 in-lb). SGM7G delivers a rated speed of 1500 rpm, delivering a rapid and consistent throughput over a wide power range.
