Imager Based Barcode Readers

Imager-based barcode readers reliably read 1D and 2D barcodes in any orientation. Banner offers code reading solutions that can reliably decode difficult-to-read, low quality and damaged codes, as well as codes printed on highly reflective surfaces.

ABR Barcode Series

ABR Series barcode readers offer superior decoding capability to reliably read the most difficult 1D and 2D barcodes and solve the most challenging track and trace applications. They are available in two compact form factors, multiple advanced illumination configurations, a range of resolutions and numerous lens options. These scanners read a full library of 1D and 2D barcodes, including challenging low-contrast, DPM, damaged, distorted and other hard-to-read codes. The ABR Series features integrated LED lighting and easy focus adjustment in one package for maximum application flexibility. The compact metal housing with up to IP67 rating is ideal for tight spaces and industrial environments.

iVu BCR Series Barcode Readers

The iVu BCR Series combines powerful decoding capabilities with ease-of-use to solve challenging traceability applications. These versatile readers are available with a range of lens, lighting and user interface options. They are capable of reading multiple barcodes in any orientation in a single inspection. Users can set up, manage and monitor inspections using an integrated touch screen, remote touch screen or PC interface. Ethernet and serial communication protocols simplify device integration and enable IIoT data collection. Interchangeable lenses, including a wide range of standard and C-Mount options, meet the needs of any application.

Additional Barcode Reading Capabilities

The PresencePLUS P4 Series Smart Camera includes a compact, one-piece barcode reader that decodes advanced 1D and 2D linear barcodes, and includes remote teach, configurable I/Os, live video and communications. The PresencePLUS PROII Series Controller is one part of a two-piece system with a complete suite of location, inspection and analysis tools that can be used simultaneously for inspecting multiple features, verifying barcodes and solving complex applications.

Laser Barcode Scanners

Laser-based barcode scanners decode 1D linear barcodes such as UPC codes commonly found on consumer goods. Banner offers 1D barcode scanners that provide reliable and fast read rates for traceablility in a wide variety of industries. The TCNM Series laser barcode scanner is able to decode over a dozen common linear barcode symbols and provide fast read rates, wide depth of field and high resolution. GeniusPlus software and proprietary intra-sensor communication protocol eliminate the need for external multiplexers in multi-sensor setups. The TCNM Series can complete 500 to 1,000 scans per second. A code rebuilding algorithm combines multiple scans to reconstruct damaged code information.
