This latest In-Sight Explorer software release supports OPC UA protocol for fast, efficient and secure communication across factory devices. As the premier data-exchange protocol for Industry 4.0, OPC UA enables streamlined information sharing between In-Sight vision products and other industrial automation assets in smart factories. In addition to OPC UA support, Cognex has expanded its communication capabilities for popular PLC brands. With the release of In-Sight Explorer 5.8.0, In-Sight vision products also support iQSS-capable Mitsubishi series PLCs.

In-Sight D900 Deep Learning Vision System

The In-Sight D900 is a smart camera powered by In-Sight ViDi software designed specifically to run deep learning applications. This embedded solution helps factory automation customers solve challenging industrial optical character recognition (OCR), assembly verification and random defect detection applications that are often too difficult to program with traditional, rule-based machine vision tools. In-Sight ViDi applications are deployed on the D900 without the need for a PC, making deep learning technology accessible to non-programmers.

The In-Sight D900 deciphers badly deformed, skewed and poorly etched codes. The In-Sight ViDi Read tool works right out of the box, dramatically reducing development time. Simply define the region of interest and set the character size. The D900 uses artificial intelligence to reliably detect complex features and objects and verifies parts and kits are assembled correctly based on their location within a pre-defined layout.

In-Sight 2800 Vision System

The In-Sight 2800 vision system combines deep learning technology with traditional rule-based vision tools to provide an easily deployable solution for error-proofing, from simple presence/absence detection to advanced categorization and sorting applications. This system lets manufacturers enhance product quality, operational efficiency and integration. The In-Sight 2800 features intuitive job setup and optimized error detection. The tools can be used individually for simple jobs or chained together to solve more difficult logic sequences.

In-Sight 9000 Machine Vision Systems

The In-Sight 9000 is a rugged, ultra-high-resolution line of standalone vision systems. With its ability to acquire and process exceptionally detailed images, the In-Sight 9000 delivers high accuracy part location, measurement, and inspection over a large area, even when mounted at longer distances. Line scan and area scan image acquisition options are available for imaging continuously moving or stationary objects. Plus, a full suite of vision tools configurable through the In-Sight EasyBuilder interface solves a wide range of applications across industries.

In-Sight 8000 Vision Systems

In-Sight 8000 compresses an entire self-contained vision system into an amazingly small package about the size of a traditional image-capture-only camera. All In-Sight 8000 models can be mounted at angles of up to 45 degrees using the In-Sight non-linear calibration tool. These vision systems are ideal for integrating into tight spaces on robots and hard-to-reach machinery anywhere on the production line. The In-Sight 8000 models deliver high-performance vision tools, faster communication speeds and high resolution in a small package ideal for integrating into small spaces where machine space is at a premium.

In-Sight 7000 Machine Vision

The In-Sight 7000 series is a full-featured, powerful vision system with integrated light and autofocus options that performs fast, accurate inspections of a wide range of parts across all industries. Its compact footprint easily fits into space-constrained production lines and the unique, modular design is highly field-customizable to application requirements. Along with the internal and external power/control lighting options, the In-Sight 7000 series also has a highly visible pass/fail LED indicator light ring around the camera body, making it easy to see the inspection status no matter where the system is installed.

In-Sight 5600/5705 Series

The In-Sight 5705 series offers high performance with high resolution, making it the fastest 5 MP, self-contained vision system in the world. The In-Sight 5705 color follows as the only standalone 5 MP color vision system in the world. Both systems support Gigabit Ethernet and the new blazing fast PatMax Redline tool. Full image speed is significantly higher with the In-Sight 5705 series – seven times faster running the closed filter and the edge magnitude filter than a two megapixel system. This dramatic speed increase reduces cycle times or allows more time for running more detailed inspections.

In-Sight 9902L Line Scan System

The In-Sight 9902L 2K line scan smart camera is a high-resolution, self-contained vision system ideal for detailed inspections of large, cylindrical or continuously moving objects. The 9902L acquires up to 16,000 lines of 2,000 pixels per line to produce a 32 MP image that can used to detect even the smallest features and defects. Each pixel line is acquired at 67,000 lines per second to keep up with the fastest production lines. This standalone vision system only requires a small view of the target part, making it an ideal choice for installations with restrictive field of view or mounting space requirements.

In-Sight 3D-L4000 Vision Technology

The unique In-Sight 3D-L4000 is a breakthrough in three-dimensional vision systems, combining 3D laser displacement technology with a smart camera and allowing quick, accurate and cost-effective solutions for an array of inspections. The industry-first speckle-free blue laser optics acquire high quality 3D images, and on-board high-performance processing powers a comprehensive set of true 3D vision tools, with easy setup and no need for external processing.
